when bombay became mumbai
'BOMBAY',as it was named by the britishers truly reflected the global character of the city.But people in india have a strange affection for small things ,they changed it to mumbai as if it really mattred.Now people want to change its image .They want it to be of maharashtra only.forget global ,they dont even want it to be indian.shame on THACKREYS.They accuse bachans of being partial towards UP,so what if they are.somebody please tell me what have raj or bala saheb given to their mumbai,only some riots every now and then.They always create trouble.how many schools have they opened in mumbai.What do they do to eradicate slums and poverty in mumbai while sitting in their banglows.Anybody can write emotional articles in their own newspapers,but it takes guts to go out and really do someting good for the nation.The name 'INDIA' was also given to us by britishers,why not change it also.May be he doesn't feel as strongly for the nation as he does for his mumbai.Now coming on to the so called saviours of biharis in bombay.Who gives the right of speaking on behalf of UP and BIHAR to somebody called amar singh.Who is he?his party lost badly in UP and has no base in BIHAR.Such jokers decide anytime to become masiha of anybody on their own.I m ashamed that we use words like leader for people like raj,balasaheb and amar singh and they sit at the same place where people like nehru,rajiv,lal bahadur shastri,morarji desai,manmohan singh used to sit and dream of a nation.I wonder what kind of people vote for them and in what hope.

yeah! i agree with ur points. these guys like thackreys and amar singh are really a shame for indian politics who are just encouraging regionalism to earn votes and playing dirty politics. is the money making now only goal for these politicians? do they not think about country's development? i think the government should have to take severe steps against these politicians. how can they call themselves leader of up, bihar or maharastra etc. when they don't even think about the basic needs and problems of a common man...
well done buddy, i also agree with you. Politicians like them just sucks, they are leader, may be because no one was against them or people who chose them , do not have mind which can take so much burden of just thinking for them, may be they do not have interest in politics or country, or not even in themselves. Because no one can do anything by his own, there are large no of people who think like them, rest are busy in in their life which is more important than their country, or more important than themselves.

So friend , names do not matter.
that is exactly what i m saying why bother changing names.instead they should concentrate on doing more usefull things.what do you differ on then?
